Character: Matsue Okamori (岡森松江) (Original Character)
Age: 16
History: Matsue was born in Kyoto, Japan to Sugie, a sculptor, and Matsuhiko, an architect. When Matsue was in elementary school, her mother passed away; with her father still working long hours, Matsue became a latchkey kid, learning self-reliance and responsibility at an early age at the price of loneliness. Shy and serious by nature, young Matsue earned few friends, and made it through her years of middle school and junior high (which were lonely at best, and hellish at worst) by devoting herself to her studies.

The excellent grades and exam results she received for all this hard work, aside from being an important source of pride for her, earned her a spot at a prestigious local high school. When offered the opportunity to study abroad for a year in Hawaii, she hesitated at first, not wanting to leave home, but accepted at the encouragement of her teachers and her father. Her American host family and new classmates welcomed her warmly, and despite her homesickness, she was beginning to enjoy herself and come out of her shell... and then the zombie apocalypse happened and fucked that shit right up.

She's belonged to a few different groups of survivors since whatever military-enforced order there was at first collapsed, and learned how to use a handgun somewhere along the way. By now, she's a tough and capable survivor, dealing with her trauma and fear by pushing them down instead of dealing with them.

I'M INTERESTED IN...
... enemies! [Y] aside from people who are obviously malicious or rude, Matsue strongly mistrusts people who seem overly-friendly. Additionally, although she doesn't readily abandon someone in need, she doesn't have much patience for people who lack common sense, or whose dependence or naïveté make them a liability in a group.
... friendships! [Y] Matsue might give off the impression of being a loner, but she enjoys the company of other people. Extroverted, talkative folks lift her spirits, and she feels a sense of kinship with those who are more softspoken.
... lovers! [Y] She's not out looking for a relationship or hot makeouts, but hey, it's the apocalypse; things happen. Since she's a lesbian teenager with zero sexual experience, she'll be very shy about any romantic feelings that develop.

YES PLEASEs: Cutie Friends and Badass Role Models. I'd like Matsue to develop friendships, as well as have a sort of mentor figure (or figures) that she can look up to.
OVERALL: Matsue has the self-reliance and survival competence mostly down; what I'd really like to see change about her is how closed off she is emotionally, and eventually I hope she can open up about her feelings and deal with stuff in a healthy way.

also, Homura crushing on Matsue. I figure she'd quickly come to like her for her reliability and though she is not as bright and peppy as her usual type is, she's polite and kind and well-meaning enough that Homura could definitely fall for her super hard. Maybe they were good friends before the whole place comes tumbling down, and think the other is dead before meeting each other once more?

yES TO HOMURA-CRUSH. Matsue might crush on her right back once she catches on. I love the idea of them knowing each other before the apocalypse! Maybe Matsu was sent to study abroad at the high school Homura was at?

Hello cutiepie would you like a badass hairdresser to travel alongside with for a short period of time at least? He could maybe try to teach her a couple of cutting or skull smashing techniques that you can do with finesse rather than brutality or even do her hair during a lull or something!

omg HELL YEA that sounds like a good time! She'd likely be kinda scared of him at first because Yakuza tats y i k e s, but over time/after fighting off a number of zombies together, she'd grow to trust him and they could be buds. The idea of him doing her hair is so cute, help...

To be fair he keeps the majority of his tats covered! Even the ones on his face. Pretty much the only consistently visible one is the bird one below his collarbone and that's a gang tat but not yakuza. SHE COULD ALWAYS SEE THEM LATER AND FEEL SCARED THO AHAHA...
